We have put together the perfect collection to help celebrate Easter. Not only do you get a bag of our brand new mini chocolate eggs, but you can also indulge with some 1741 Hot Chocolate while enjoying some delicious 15th Century Saffron Bread.

 

Mini Chocolate Easter Eggs

This is a new take on our chocolate, just in time for Easter. We have created some white and milk chocolate eggs, flavoured with the spices from our 1741 Hot Chocolates. The bag contains 18 mini eggs, 6 white and 12 milk chocolate.

 

1741 Hot Chocolate (Cardamom & Long Pepper)

This is a very rich, dark hot chocolate. Chocolate in the 18th century was consumed mainly as a hot chocolate drink, and had evolved since the 17th century into something we would recognise today. This drink is based on recipes from the 1740s and still uses Long Pepper to add a hint of hot floral spice, with the warm citrus flavour of Cardamom.

 

15th Century Saffron Bread

In medieval times saffron bread was used as part of the Lammas Day celebrations. This mix produces a dark-crusted, enriched fruit bread; it was only eaten by the richest members of medieval society. The Saffron bread is easy to make - even more so if you have a bread machine! The result is a delicately spiced sweet fruit loaf, best eaten hot with melting butter.
